Competition briefs are about as close to athlete-only as kit gets: adidas produces them purely for the athletes it sponsors, in cuts and fabric weights built for racing, not sale. You will not find this piece on any retail shelf.
Each brief is authenticated by the adidas markers — season tags, the seam serial number, and the verification QR on recent kit — plus construction and sourcing. Supply comes from seasonal athlete allocations, so most are one-of-a-kind.
