NN Pro Elite
2023
The deepest year of a catalogue that can never grow again: seventeen team-issue pieces from the season of a second place in London, a fifth Berlin, the record leaving — and the rust wardrobe no other squad ever wore.
NN Running Team 2023 kit is team issue from the deepest cycle of the first professional running team — seventeen pieces in our archive, ten double-branded INEOS X Nike, all from a line closed for good by the January 2026 rename.
This page reads the team's year in its own races: London and Boston in April, Kipchoge's record fifth Berlin, the October the record left, New York, the rust-and-gradient design language — and every 2023 piece we hold, in stock and sold.

What “NN Running Team 2023” Means
A 2023 date on NN Running Team kit places it in the deepest cycle of the team's whole nine-year life: seventeen pieces reached our archive, ten of them carrying the INEOS double branding, all of them from a season that turned out to be the high-water mark of the NN era. The full team story is in our History of the NN Running Pro Elite Team pillar; this page reads its richest year.
The 2023 season packed a second place in London behind the man who would take the record, a record fifth Berlin win, the loss of that record and the departure of a founding member into seven months. The kit those months were lived in — the rust travel wardrobe, the gradient crops, the triple-branded jackets — is what this cycle is.

London, Boston and New York
The team's spring belonged to the Majors. On 17 April Eliud Kipchoge made his Boston debut and finished sixth in 2:09:23 — his first defeat since the closed-loop London of 2020. Six days later in London, Geoffrey Kamworor ran 2:04:23 for second, the best Major finish of the team's spring, behind a 23-year-old who ran 2:01:25 for a course record: Kelvin Kiptum, never a team member, whose name would return in October.

The autumn closed on the roads too. On 5 November Letesenbet Gidey — the 5000 and 10,000 m record-setter of the 2020–21 cycle — ran 2:27:29 for second in New York, her second marathon, in the team's racing white. The rust travel wardrobe, the gradient crops and the INEOS layers were what the squad wore between Kaptagat, London, Berlin and New York.
One month of 2023 is not on this page by design. The Budapest World Championships in August were raced in federation kit — Victor Kiplangat's marathon title for Uganda and Gidey's 10,000 m silver for Ethiopia — and they live in our Uganda and Ethiopia histories, where team-mates become countrymen.
Berlin, Chicago and the End of an Era
On 24 September, Eliud Kipchoge won Berlin for the fifth time — a number no marathoner had ever reached there — in 2:02:42, in what proved to be his final season as world record holder. Two weeks later in Chicago, Kiptum ran 2:00:35 and took the record Kipchoge had owned since 2018. The 2023 cycle is therefore the last kit the team raced as holders of the marathon world record.
October brought a second ending: Kenenisa Bekele, founding member and the 2:01:41 man of Berlin 2019, left for a Chinese brand deal after more than twenty years in Nike. Seen from the January 2026 rename, the 2023 season is where the NN era's final chapter opened — which is exactly what gives this cycle's kit its weight in the archive.

Visually, 2023 is the team's most distinctive year. The travel wardrobe moved to brick rust — tracksuits, jackets, pants and hoods in a burnt red-brown no other squad wore — with NN, Swoosh and INEOS sharing the chest. The racing layer kept the founding white and orange but softened it: the year's crop tops fade from white into orange in a printed gradient, and the accessories ran to peach knit calf sleeves and red INEOS long tights.
Ten of the seventeen archive pieces carry the INEOS mark, which matters doubly now: INEOS closed its chapter with the team at the end of the NN era, so the triple-branded 2023 garments are sealed from both directions. Construction follows the athlete-issue rules our authentication guide covers — team quantities, race cuts, no retail run.

Team-issue kit from the 2023 cycle of the NN Running Team — the deepest single year in the team's catalogue as held by our archive: seventeen pieces, ten of them double-branded INEOS X issues. The team was renamed in January 2026, so every 2023 piece belongs to a closed line.
Why are 2023 pieces double-branded INEOS X Nike?
The team's performance partnership with INEOS, signed in January 2022 out of the Vienna 1:59 relationship, put the INEOS mark on team garments through the 2022 and 2023 cycles. INEOS closed its chapter with the team at the end of the NN era, sealing the double-branded line at both ends.
What did the team do in 2023?
In its own races: Kipchoge sixth in Boston, then a record fifth Berlin win in 2:02:42; Kamworor second in London in 2:04:23 behind Kelvin Kiptum; Gidey second in New York in 2:27:29. In October Kiptum — not a team member — took the marathon world record, and founding member Kenenisa Bekele left the team. The championship medals of that August were won in federation kit and are told in our country pages.
How do I recognise a 2023 NN piece?
By the rust: the 2023 travel wardrobe — tracksuits, jackets, pants — is a brick red-brown no other cycle used, with NN, Swoosh and (on ten of our pieces) INEOS branding. The racing layer runs white and orange, with the year's signature white-to-orange gradient crops.
What NN Running Team 2023 pieces does Elite Athletics Clothes carry?
All seventeen pieces of the cycle are documented on this page, grouped by edition, with live stock. Sold pieces stay listed as part of the cycle's record and will not restock.
