The Year the Balance Tipped
Every stable has the season where the next generation stops being the future and starts being the present. For the Rosa group it was 2023: one February morning in Bathurst put both world cross titles on its young wing, while the marathon veterans had their most human year in a decade. The scale below weighs it.

Bathurst and the Long Year After
The 18th of February 2023 is the group's modern founding date: Jacob Kiplimo won the senior men's world cross title in 29:17 and Beatrice Chebet the women's in 33:48 — two individual world titles for one agency in one morning. Chebet closed her year on New Year's Eve in Barcelona with the 5 km road world record (14:13) — the first entry of a record collection she has been building ever since.
The veterans' year ran rougher. Chepngetich defended Nagoya by more than three minutes and ran 2:15:37 in Chicago — but this time second, behind Sifan Hassan's European record, on the same day Kelvin Kiptum (never a Rosa athlete) ran his 2:00:35. Kosgei's season broke in London: a hamstring injury carried into race week ended her run three minutes after the start. The balance had tipped — and 2024 would prove how far.

The group's young wing took both senior world cross-country titles on the same morning — Jacob Kiplimo (29:17) and Beatrice Chebet (33:48). Both defended the titles in Belgrade a year later.
How did the veterans do in 2023?
A human year: Chepngetich defended Nagoya by over three minutes but was second in Chicago behind Sifan Hassan; Kosgei's London ended after three minutes with a hamstring injury. The season marked the handover to the Chebet–Kiplimo generation.
