Nike
Pro Elite 2026

The summer Nike dressed its athletes by the meeting — Eugene in Electric Green and Bright Crimson, London fifteen days later in Violet Mist and Gym Blue. Both London speedsuits are in the archive.

Nike Pro Elite 2026 is the athlete-issue kit Nike gave its sponsored track athletes in the 2026 season, and in July it changed twice in fifteen days. At the Prefontaine Classic on 3–4 July they raced in a new Electric Green and Bright Crimson kit; at the London Athletics Meet on 18 July, in a London collection of Violet Mist, Gym Blue and Electric Green. The men's and women's London speedsuits are in this archive.

This page reads Nike's meeting summer first — Eugene, London, Zurich and the one-off suit at Athlos — then the London suit off its own label. Verified to 28 October 2026.

Fifteen Days, Two Kits

Nike has dressed its sponsored athletes in a new kit for the Prefontaine Classic for years. The meeting, which Nike has backed as title partner since 1978, said so itself on 25 June 2026: “The tradition of Nike athletes donning a new kit for The Prefontaine Classic continues.” The 2026 version used a reduced palette led by Electric Green and Bright Crimson, with prints the release tied to growth, breath and movement. Every Nike athlete at Hayward Field on 3 and 4 July wore it, in competition cuts — singlets, shorts, tights, outer layers and accessories. The pictures in the release were of Klaudia Kazimierska and Cole Hocker.

Fifteen days later the same athletes were in London, and the kit had changed again. The Diamond League reached London Stadium on 18 July for the 73rd London Athletics Meet, the eleventh leg of the season. For London there is no Nike press release that we have found. What there is are labels: the two suits in our archive are marked as part of a Novuna London Athletics Meet collection, made for Nike-sponsored athletes competing at that meeting, in Violet Mist, Gym Blue and Electric Green. That is the whole documentary record, and we would rather show it than dress it up.

Read side by side, the two kits share one colour and nothing else. Electric Green carries over from Eugene to London; Bright Crimson drops out, and London adds a pale violet and a dark blue. The point for a collector is narrower than it looks. A kit made for one evening at one stadium is a short run by definition, and a London suit can be dated to a single night in July — which is more than most Pro Elite pieces can say.

What Nike's Athletes Did in Them

In Eugene the Nike athletes ran well and mostly finished second. Sha'Carri Richardson ran 10.79 in the 100 m, one hundredth behind Melissa Jefferson-Wooden. Keely Hodgkinson ran 1:56.73 for second in the 800 m behind Lilian Odira's 1:56.19. The women's mile went to Nikki Hiltz in a world-leading 4:17.49, with Faith Kipyegon third in 4:17.80 and Kazimierska fourth in 4:17.90, a Polish record. In the Bowerman Mile, Hocker was sixth in 3:47.57 as the 20-year-old Cameron Myers won in 3:46.06.

London went the other way for Hodgkinson. She won the 800 m in 1:56.21, a quarter of a second clear of Femke Broeders-Bol (1:56.46), with Tsige Duguma third in 1:56.92, on the night Josh Kerr ran the mile in 3:42.66, a world record. Two days earlier Nike had put her first signature collection on sale — running shoes and a retail racing line under her name. Which athlete wore which London piece that night is not documented, and we are not going to assign our two suits to anyone.

The summer did not end there. At Weltklasse Zurich on 27 August, Hocker won the 1500 m in 3:31.71 in a Nike speedsuit printed in navy and gold-yellow, as the photograph below shows. And on 18 September, at Athlos in London, Hodgkinson closed her season in a hooded, full-length suit Nike built for her alone; we have covered that suit in its own Kit Watch file. Between the meeting kits, the signature line and the one-off suit, 2026 is the year Nike's athlete kit stopped being one design per season.

The London Suit, Read Off Its Label

The London suit reads like this on its label: Violet Mist / Gym Blue / Electric Green; body 83% polyester and 17% elastane; panel lining 88% polyester and 12% elastane; Nike Dri-FIT ADV; a textured Swoosh; a quarter-zip at the front; made in the USA. The men's and the women's suits carry the same specification. Set against the two older Nike speedsuits in our archive, the label is simpler: the 2017 and 2019 suits each mix three fabrics by zone, the London suit two.

Construction follows the athlete-issue rules our authentication guide covers: competition-weight cloth, race cuts, no retail run. A meeting kit is a narrower thing again — made for the Nike athletes on one start list. In August, at the European Championships in Birmingham, Hodgkinson raced in the Great Britain kit instead: that is a federation contract, which Nike also holds for British Athletics, and it belongs to our country pages, not here.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the Nike Pro Elite London DL Special Edition speedsuit?

A one-piece racing suit from the 2026 Novuna London Athletics Meet collection, made for Nike-sponsored athletes competing at the London Diamond League meeting on 18 July 2026. The label gives the colour as Violet Mist / Gym Blue / Electric Green, Dri-FIT ADV fabric and a quarter-zip front. It was not sold at retail.

Did Nike make a special kit for the 2026 Prefontaine Classic?

Yes. The meeting announced on 25 June 2026 that Nike athletes would race in a new kit led by Electric Green and Bright Crimson, in singlets, shorts, tights, outer layers and accessories. A new Nike kit for the Pre Classic is a long-standing tradition.

How is the London kit different from the Eugene kit?

They share one colour, Electric Green. Eugene paired it with Bright Crimson; London paired it with Violet Mist and Gym Blue. The Eugene palette comes from the meeting release; the London palette comes from the labels of the suits.

Who wore the London suits?

They were made for the Nike-sponsored athletes at the meeting. No source documents which athlete wore which piece, so we do not attribute either of our suits to a named athlete.

What did Keely Hodgkinson do at the two meetings?

She was second in the 800 m in Eugene on 4 July in 1:56.73, behind Lilian Odira, and won the 800 m in London on 18 July in 1:56.21, ahead of Femke Broeders-Bol.

Is the London suit the same as the hooded suit Hodgkinson wore at Athlos?

No. The hooded, full-length suit she raced in at Athlos in London on 18 September 2026 was a one-off Nike made for her alone. The London DL suit is a meeting kit issued to Nike athletes at one Diamond League meeting.
