Rosa & Co.
2019–21
4 team-issue pieces from the 2019–21 cycle live in our archive — the season this page reads, athlete by athlete, in the group's Nike kit.
Nike Rosa & Co. 2019–21 kit is team issue of Rosa Associati — the Italian agency behind Kenyan marathoning — from the 2019–21 season, made by Nike for the group's athletes and camps and never retailed.
This page reads the season first: what the group's athletes actually did that year, verified result by result — then the cycle's kit, and every piece of it in our archive.

Three Seasons, One Cascade
The oldest Rosa & Co. kit in our archive comes from the group's hottest streak: three seasons in which its athletes took a sixteen-year-old world record apart in Chicago, won London twice over and stacked half marathon records like firewood. The cascade runs downhill and gets faster at every step.
The cascade (table)
| Mark | Who / where | What |
|---|---|---|
| 2:18:20 | Kosgei – London 2019 | Youngest winner in the race s history |

Dubai, Chicago, London, Lisbon

2019 opened with Ruth Chepngetich's 2:17:08 course record in Dubai in January; what she did in Doha that autumn was done in Kenya's federation kit and lives in our Kenya 2019 page. On 13 October Brigid Kosgei, raised in the group's Kapsait camp, ran 2:14:04 in Chicago: Paula Radcliffe's world record, 16 years old, gone by 81 seconds. Kosgei had already won London that spring as the youngest champion in the race's history.
The pandemic year narrowed to one bubble in St James's Park — and the group took it over: Kosgei defended London (2:18:58) with Chepngetich third. In 2021 Chepngetich broke the half marathon world record in Istanbul (1:04:02) and won Chicago; and the group's young Ugandan, Jacob Kiplimo — world half champion at 19 in Gdynia — closed the era with the 57:31 half record in Lisbon. He holds the record today, at 57:20.

The earliest Rosa & Co. cycles set the group's identity: a magenta zig-zag knit crop from 2019 — the oldest piece in the archive — royal-blue racing shorts and bright orange training layers with tonal flash prints. Orange and royal, the axis everything later returned to.
Group kit identifies a stable rather than a nation, which is why so little of it surfaces — our authentication guide covers the athlete-issue tells.

What is Rosa & Co. 2019–21 kit?
The earliest Nike team issue of Rosa Associati in our archive: the 2019 magenta knit crop, royal racing shorts and orange training layers from the group's hottest competitive streak. Four pieces survive with us.
What did Rosa athletes win between 2019 and 2021?
The marathon world record (Kosgei's 2:14:04, Chicago 2019), Dubai and Chicago (Chepngetich), London 2019 and the 2020 bubble edition, the Istanbul half marathon world record (Chepngetich, 1:04:02) and the Lisbon half record (Kiplimo, 57:31).
Do any of those records still stand?
The marks themselves have moved on — but two lineages continue: Kiplimo still holds the half marathon record today at 57:20 (Lisbon 2026), and the women's marathon record returned to the group in 2024 through Chepngetich's 2:09:56.
How do I recognise a 2019–21 Rosa piece?
The magenta zig-zag knit of the 2019 crop, royal-blue racing shorts, and orange training layers with tonal flash prints — earlier, brighter and scarcer than the badge-era kit that followed.
